I’ve heard various hypnotists call themselves Doctors of Hypnosis. There is no such thing as a Doctor of Hypnosis. To be clear, there are actual Medical Doctors, Doctors of Psychology and Psychiatry and other Doctors that are trained and practice Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, however there is no recognized and/or legitimate educational facility on the planet that gives out a Dr. of Hypnosis.
If a hypnotist claims that they are a Doctor ask them what kind of Doctor they are. If they say they are a Doctor of Hypnosis they are lying and/or they bought a fake degree/diploma from a fake school. You can buy these for as little as $20 on the internet.
Quite frankly, this is an insult to Doctors everywhere that have spent years of their lives dedicated to learning their profession and have spent thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars on their education. They deserve the credit and the privilege of being called a Doctor. They earned it. If you weren’t healthy would you see a medical doctor with a fake degree on the wall or the doctor who actually went to school?
There are schools where you can learn hypnosis and hypnotherapy. At some time in the future there will most likely be real and legal educational facilities that offer Doctorate programs in Hypnosis. At this time there are none.
